Inventory Controller
SFM Engineering are a Steel Fabrication and Manufacturing company supplying services such as cutting, fabrication, finishing and assembly of metal components, including but not limited to the Screening, Quarrying and Recycling Industries.
As an Inventory Controller here at SFM Engineering you will be responsible for managing the storage and distribution of goods within the company.

Required criteria:
- A minimum of 1 years experience of completing stock takes.
- Forklift/combi lift truck experience.
- Picking and packing experience.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland/UK and travel throughout the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland/UK you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit may result in your application not being considered.

Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and components.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain a system for labelling and identifying inventory items.
- Load and unload deliveries and safely relocate the goods to their designated storage areas.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformity to specifications.
- Identify and report any damaged or non-conforming items for corrective action.
- Issue materials and components to assembly teams based on production schedules and requirements.
- Performing safety checks on the forklift, such as checking the brakes, lights, and steering, to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload the sub assembly lines with production parts.
- Communicating with other workers and supervisors in the sub assembly area to coordinate tasks and ensure that materials are moved efficiently and safely.
- Transport completed products to the designated despatch zone.
- Safely stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto racks, shelves, or pallets.
- Reporting any mechanical problems with the forklift or other equipment to a supervisor.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by your supervisor or manager.
